Bundesliga: 43,450 spectators on average per game (-2.7%) and a fill rate of 89% in 2018-19

The 18 Bundesliga clubs drew an average of 43,450 spectators per match in the 2018-19 season, a decrease of 1,196 spectators on average (-2.7%) compared to the 2017-18 season (44,646 spectators). This makes the Bundesliga the Top 5 European league in terms of attendance ahead of the Premier League (38,182 spectators). But while the German league remains in first place, it is also the league that experienced the biggest drop in the average number of spectators per match in 2018-19.

With an average of 80,841 spectators per match in the Bundesliga at the Signal Iduna Park (81,365 capacity), Borussia Dortmund was the German club with the best attendance in 2018-19 and 2017-18. With a 1.7% increase compared to 2017-18 (79,496 spectators), Borussia Dortmund also dominates the European attendance rankings for the seventh consecutive season.
