LaLiga Santander: Villarreal CF reaching over 3,500 youngsters with 24 academies in 2018-19

"Villarreal Academy will end the 2018-19 season with 24 academies across the world. There is a presence in the United States, South Korea, Japan, China and Australia, and Villarreal's international academies reach more than 3,500 young footballers," announced the club on 16/05/2019.

South Korea has the highest number of the Spanish club's academies (12), ahead of the United States (9), while Japan, China and Australia have one each. Villarreal CF plans to launch projects in Canada, Puerto Rico, Panama and El Salvador during the 2019-20 season, reaching a total of 6,000 players.

"Through the international academies of Villarreal CF, the club expands its brands beyond our borders and acts as an ambassador for the province of Castellón, making it known in five continents. The academies have the chance to get to know and put into place the methodology of philosophy of the Yellows Academy, with the aim of the players growing both on a sporting and personal level based on Villarreal CF's values," added the Spanish club.
