The final of the Copa del Rey in 2014 will see FC Barcelona oppose Real Madrid at the Mestalla stadium (55,000 seats) in Valencia on 19/04/2014.

Real Madrid eliminated Atletico Madrid (3-0, 2-0) in the semifinals, while FC Barcelona defeated Real Sociedad (2-0, 1-1). This is the seventh Cope del Rey final between the two clubs, with previous clashes in 1936, 1968, 1974, 1983, 1990 and 2011.

The 2013 final (Real Madrid-Atletico Madrid, 1-2) was played at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium (85,454 seats) in Madrid.

Valencia CF have been at the Mestalla stadium (55,000 seats) since 1923.

  • The club began the construction of the Nou Mestalla in 2007.
  • The work of the venue has been interrupted since February 2009 due to a lack of funds.
  • €90m is required to complete the stadium.
  • The Nou Mestalla's capacity would to be reduced to 61,500 seats, instead of the 75,000 planned in 2005
