Premier League TV Rights: Canal+ and RMC Sport will co-broadcast all games (2019-2022)

The French pay-TV group Canal+ and the telecommunications and media group Altice France announced the conclusion of an agreement, on 24/05/2019, for the co-broadcast of all Premier League games, whose broadcasting rights, in France, for the cycle 2019-2022 were acquired by Canal+ on 31/10/2018.

"This agreement provides that subscribers to Canal+ channels such as RMC Sport will have access to 100% of live or on-delay matches, or 380 games per season," said the two groups.
"(For a possible sub-licensing of Premier League matches), the authorisation of the Premier League is required. We'll look at all the scenarios and if one of them makes sense, I have no doubt that we'll have a Premier League agreement. We will discuss with everyone and therefore with SFR. The most important thing for me is not to deprive SFR of the Premier League, but that Canal+ subscribers get it back," said Maxime Saada, CEO of the Canal+ group, to L'Equipe on 01/11/2018, the day after the acquisition of these rights.
