Europa League: Chelsea FC - Arsenal FC, a 100% English final in Baku (AZE) on Wednesday 29/05/2019

The 2018-19 Europa League final will be played between Chelsea FC (Premier League) and Arsenal FC (Premier League) at the Olympic Stadium in Baku (AZE) on Wednesday 29/05/2019 (kick-off at 21:00 CET, 23:00 local time).

The match will be refereed by Italian Gianluca Rocchi, according to UEFA on 13/05/2019. The two English teams have previously met once in a European Cup, during the quarterfinals of the 2003-04 UEFA Champions League, with Chelsea winning 3-2 on aggregate over the two matches (1-1, 2-1).

The London derby on 29/05/2019 is significant in many ways:
• For the first time, the Europa League final is scheduled only four days before the Champions League final (played between two other English clubs, Tottenham Hotspur FC and Liverpool FC, at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid, ESP, on Saturday 01/06/2019), just after the end of the main national leagues.
