2019 Europa League final: broadcast free-to-air in the European Top 5 countries, excluding Spain

Spain is the only European Top 5 league country where the final of the 2018-19 Europa League, Chelsea FC (Premier League) - Arsenal FC (Premier League) at the Olympic Stadium (70,000 capacity) in Baku (AZE), will not be broadcast free-to-air, on Wednesday 29/05/2019 (kick-off at 21:00 CET, 23:00 local time).

The Europa League final is not one of the sports events considered of major importance (which must be accessible free of charge) in Spain and England. In France, Italy, Germany, it is only part of the list if one of the clubs from the domestic league participates (see below).

In Spain, the final is broadcast exclusively by a pay-TV channel belonging to Movistar (Movistar Liga de Campeones), a subsidiary of the Spanish telecommunications operator Telefonica, which sub-licensed the exclusive broadcasting rights of the Champions League and the Europa League to the Chinese-Spanish audiovisual group Mediapro for the 2018-2021 cycle, on 28/06/2018.
