Champions League: Tottenham-Liverpool, 15^th consecutive final between clubs from the European Top 4

Tottenham Hotspur (Premier League) - Liverpool FC (Premier League), the 2019 Champions League final, at the Wanda Metropolitano (68,000 capacity) in Madrid (ESP), on Saturday 01/06/2019 (kick-off at 21:00 CET), is the 15^th consecutive Champions League final played between European clubs from the Top 4 European leagues (Spain, England, Italy, Germany).

Over the last 14 finals, Spain has been the most represented country (10 participants/8 wins), followed by England (9/3), Italy (5/2) and Germany (4/1). The 2019 final, Tottenham Hotspur FC - Liverpool FC, will allow England (11 participants) to overtake Spain (10).

The last final in which at least one non-Spanish, English, Italian or German club participated was the 2004 final between AS Monaco FC (FRA) and FC Porto (POR), won by Porto (0-3) at the Arena AufSchalke (which became the Veltins-Arena in 2005) in Gelsenkirchen (GER) on 26/05/2004.
