Champions League: the final to be broadcast for free in the Top 5 excluding in Germany and Spain

The 2019 Champions League final, Tottenham Hotspur FC (Premier League) - Liverpool FC (Premier League), on Saturday 01/06/2019 (kick-off at 21:00 CET), will be free-to-air in France, England and Italy, but not in Germany and Spain.

• In the United Kingdom, the game held at the Wanda Metropolitano (renamed the Estadio Metropolitano for the occassion) in Madrid (ESP), will be broadcast for free on all of BT Sport platforms, via YouTube and on the pay-TV channel BT Sport 1. The BT pay-TV group, which owns the exclusive rights to the competition for the 2015-2021 cycle, gave in to pressure from the competition sponsors who feared that the audience would be too small if this 100% English final was not broadcast for free.

• In France the match will be broadcast on the free DTT channel BFM TV and on the pay-TV channel RMC Sport 1, both of which belong to the Altice France group.

• In Spain, the final staged in Madrid will be broadcast on the pay-TV channel Movistar Liga de Campeones, owned by the Telefonica group, which owns the exclusive rights to the Champions League for the 2018-2021…
