Women's World Cup: Nike (14 teams) is the most represented equipment manufacturer among the 24 teams

Nike is an equipment supplier of 14 of the 24 national teams, that are competing in the FIFA Women's World Cup France 2019, which begins this Friday (07/06/2019) with France - South Korea at the Parc des Princes in Paris (kick-off at 21:00 CET). The American brand is therefore the most represented equipment manufacturer in the competition, supporting 58% of the national associations/federations.

In second place, the German sports brand adidas is the equipment supplier of six teams (25%), while Umbro, Le Coq Sportif, Puma and the Thai brand Warrix equip one national team each (4.1%).

According to data collected by News Tank Football, the French (FFF) and German (DFB) federations are the two bodies that receive the highest value equipment supplier contracts, from Nike (€50.5m/year) and adidas (€50m/year) respectively.

15 Federations have an equipment supplier based the USA (62.5%), seven in Germany (29.1%), one in France (Le Coq Sportif) and one in Thailand (Warrix).
