Premier League: Farhad Moshiri holds 77.2% of Everton FC after acquiring a further 8.6% in shares

Iranian-British businessman Farhad Moshiri, a 68.6% majority shareholder of Everton FC (Premier League) through his company Blue Heaven Holdings Ltd (registered in the Isle of Man), has increased his stake in the club by acquiring "just over" 8.6% from the Grantchester family, according to the Merseyside club on 06/06/2019.

Farhad Moshiri had obtained approximately 17,500 Everton FC shares in February 2016 for an estimated £87.5m (€111m on 26/02/2016), which valued the club at nearly £175m (€222m on 26/02/2016). At the time, he had bought back 23.27% of the club owned by Englishman Robert Earl, and obtained shares from Bill Kenwright (who owned 25.84% of the club before the transaction) and Jon Woods (18.92%). Farhad Moshiri, who had increased his stake in the club to 68.6% in September 2018, then announced that he planned to increase to 77.2% by July 2019.
