LaLiga Santander: 26,817 spectators on average and a fill rate of 75% in 2018-19

The 20 LaLiga Santander clubs posted an average of 26,817 spectators per game during the 2018-19 season, a slight decrease of 77 spectators compared to 2017-18 (26,894 spectators). The Spanish Championship retains third place in the Top 5 behind the Bundesliga (43,450 spectators on average) and the Premier League (38,182).

With an average of 75,208 spectators (76% fill rate) per match at Camp Nou (99,354 capacity), FC Barcelona is the Spanish club that posted the best attendance among the LaLiga Santander clubs in 2018-19, as in 2017-18. Thanks to an 8.6% increase in the number of spectators, Barça, the highest ranked Spanish team, regained second place in the European Top 5 rankings behind Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga, an average of 80,841 spectators), who beat them for the sixth consecutive season. In 2017-18, the Catalan club was outperformed in this ranking by Manchester United FC (Premier League) and FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga).
