Neymar (FC Barcelona) Castrol ambassador until February 2015

FC Barcelona striker Neymar (Brazil international, 46 caps, 27 goals) became the ambassador of the motor oil and lubricants brand Castrol on 17/02/2014.

Neymar has a contract for 12 months, until February 2015. The subsidiary of the British company BP, Castrol is a partner of FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association) for the 2014 World Cup, but the brand will not extend its contract at the end of the competition.

Neymar replaces Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) as the international ambassador. The Portuguese player was under contract with Castrol between 2009 and 2013 for an estimated €3.3m annually. The agreement with Neymar was negotiated by the Wasserman Media Group.
