Deloitte: European football represents €28.4bn in revenue in 2017-18 (+11.3%)

"The 2017-18 season saw no let-up in the growth of the European football market, despite early indications that coming seasons may not deliver the rapid growth experienced by many of the continent’s major competitions over the past decade. The overall size of the European football market continues to increase in revenue terms, reaching €28.4bn for 2017-18 (compared to €25.5bn in 2017-18, +11.3%)," states the "Annual Review of Football Finance 2019" published by the UK audit and consultancy firm Deloitte on 30/05/2019.

The 98 clubs in the European Top 5 (Premier League, Bundesliga, LaLiga Santander, Serie A TIM and Ligue 1 Conforama) posted a total turnover of €15.6bn in 2017-18, an increase of 6% (+€0.9bn) compared to 2016-17. They represent 55% of European football's total revenue, a figure down from the previous season (58%).
