UEFA: France, the Netherlands and Portugal, candidates to host the Futsal Euro 2022 tournament

France (Lille and Orchies, in the North), the Netherlands (Amsterdam and Groningen) and Portugal (Lisbon and Porto) are the three candidates to host the Futsal Euro 2022 tournament, according to UEFA on 07/06/2019.

The bidding process was launched by UEFA on 12/10/2018. The National Federations then had until 21/01/2019 to express their interest. Four countries, which had expressed their interest, eventually decided not to submit a bid dossier: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kazakhstan, Lithuania and Sweden.

These declarations of interest did not constitute a commitment and the final proposals had to be submitted with the bid dossiers by 30/05/2019 at the latest. "The UEFA Executive Committee will select the successful host association on 24 September 2019 in Ljubljana," said UEFA.

The Futsal Euro 2022 will take place from 19/01 to 06/02/2022.
