DFB: 75,000 amateur football match reports to be automatically generated each week

From the beginning of the 2019-20 season, the DFB will set up a computer system that will automatically generate match presentations and reports for all amateur football, according to the German Football Association on 04/05/2019.

"Nearly 25,000 clubs, 160,000 teams and three million active players will have an even bigger stage from summer onwards. Fussball.de, the DFB's amateur football platform, is taking the next step and offering automatically generated preliminary and follow-up reports on league matches in the men's, women's and older youth divisions at the start of the 2019-2020 season nationwide down to the lowest leagues. The DFB is meeting the wishes of its amateurs for regional reporting on Fussball.de," said the DFB.

The texts will be developed by software using accessible data (results, goals, rankings, etc.) and available online free of charge. Approximately 75,000 reports are expected to be posted online each week. In the future, the DFB plans to allow clubs to modify the automatically generated text so that it can be customised and made more precise.
