Copa America 2019: DAZN acquires broadcasting rights in Spain, after Germany and Italy

The OTT platform DAZN has acquired the broadcasting rights, in Spain, for the Copa Amercia 2019, on 13/06/2019, the eve of the beginning of the competition (opening match Brazil - Bolivia, on Friday 14/06/2019 at 21:30 local time, night of the 14-15/06/2019 at 02:30 CET).

DAZN acquired these rights for €1.5m, according to the Spanish press. The OTT platform also broadcasts the competition in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and Japan.

In the other two Top 5 European countries, the pay-TV group beIN Sports is the broadcaster of the competition in France, while in the United Kingdom Premier Sports (pay-TV) broadcasts the tournament organised by CONMEBOL.

• DAZN launched in Spain on 27/02/2019, at the price of €4.99 per month versus €9.99 in the majority of the markets where the platform is present (Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Canada, Japan, United States, Brazil).
