The general assembly of the Real Federacion Espanola de Futbol (RFEF) has approved the 2018 accounts, which show a profit of €54,667 (compared to €7.46m in 2017) and voted a projected budget of €224.89m for 2019, according to the Spanish Federation at the end of the assembly on 10/06/2019.

In 2018, the RFEF posted a turnover of €188.6m (+10.5% compared to 2017). The Spanish Federation therefore expects its revenues to increase by 19.2% between 2018 and 2019, thanks noteably to the recovery of the marketing of the TV rights to the Copa Del Rey and the new format of the Supercopa de España.

From 2019-20, 116 clubs (up from 84 so far) will participate in each edition of the Copa del Rey, with single matches except for the semi-finals. The Supercopa de España will bring together four teams and will be played for the first time in January 2020 in a "final four" format abroad.

"We will succeed in making the RFEF the best federation in the world" (Luis Rubiales, president)
