Ligue 1 Uber Eats: "The naming announcement equivalent to a media plan of €5.4m" (Metrics Factory)

"The naming (rights) announcement of the Ligue 1 Uber Eats has generated, in the first 24 hours, digital benefits that equivalent to a media plan of €5.4m, according to our estimates," said Clément Joffrin, sports consultant in the agency The Metrics Factory, to News Tank Football on 13/06/2019.

Uber Eats, a meals home delivery service and subsidiary of the independent driver mobile app Uber, became an official partner of the LFP for 2019-20, and will later be the title partner of the French first division for two seasons (2020-2022), to be renamed "Ligue 1 Uber Eats", announced the French League on 12/06/2019. The amount for the two years of naming rights would then be €15m per season, according to French media on 13/06/2019.

Uber Eats will thus succeed the home furniture distributor Conforama, the title partner of the "Ligue 1 Conforama" during the 2017-2020 cycle (agreement from 20/04/2017).
