Bundesliga: FC Bayern begins work on a football school for 3,300 young people in Taiyuan (CHN)

FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) have started construction work on a football school in the city of Taiyuan (population 4.4 million), the capital of Shanxi province (north-east China), according to the German club, on 05/06/2019.

The football school, which will have a capacity to accommodate 3,300 children (in 12 categories, from primary to secondary school) and will employ 500 staff, is part of a partnership signed by FC Bayern with the Chinese investment company China Sports Futurity and the province of Shanxi in September 2018. After Qingdao in October 2016 and Shenzen in March 2017, Taiyuan will be the third Chinese city to host a FC Bayern Munich football school.

"The aim of the institution is the sustainable transfer of knowledge, building of infrastructure and intercultural exchange. Football coaching and education are to be combined at the FC Bayern Football School.
