Attendance: an average of 31,270 spectators per game and a fill rate of 81% in the Top 5 in 2018-19

The 98 clubs involved in the Top 5 European leagues in the 2018-19 season posted an average attendance of 31,270 spectators per match, up 1.2% compared to 2017-18 (30,906 spectators per match). The average fill rate of the Top 5 clubs reached 81% in 2017-18, compared to 79% the previous season.

With an average of 43,450 spectators per match in 2018-19, the Bundesliga remains the leading Top 5 league in terms of attendance, despite a 2.7% drop in attendance at its stadiums compared to 2017-18 (44,646 spectators).

As has been the case every season since 2009-10, the German first division is ahead of the Premier League (38,182 spectators) and LaLiga Santander (26,817 spectators). The Serie A TIM maintained fourth place in the Top 5 in 2018-19 with 25,068 spectators per match (+1.2%). The Italian league progressed the most in the Top 5. The Ligue 1 Conforama continued to grow (22,831 spectators, +1.1%) but still holds the fifth and last place.
