Women's World Cup 2019: 1.09 million tickets allocated, 58% of group matches draw over 15,000 fans

"1,094,639 tickets allocated by 20/06/2019 and twenty-one of the 36 group-stage matches - 58% - had a total attendance of over 15,000 fans," announced FIFA and the Local Organising Committee of the Women's World Cup on 21/06/2019, on the eve of the first two Round of 16 matches of the competition, Germany - Nigeria (3-0) at the Stade des Alpes, in Grenoble (FRA), on Saturday 22/06/2019 (kick-off at 17:30 CET), and Norway - Australia (1-1) at the Allianz Riviera in Nice (kick-off at 21:00).

"182,000 football fans have headed for the second-best place in town to experience the FIFA Women's World Cup atmosphere: the FIFA Fan Experience, which has been set up in each of the host cities for the first time in the history of the tournament, featuring a variety of games, entertainment and cultural activities," said the organisers.
