Premier League: Aviva offers its space on the Norwich City shirt to charity

The insurance company Aviva, the official Norwich City shirt sponsor, has offered its space on the shirt to the Railway Children charity for the game against Tottenham Hotspur (Matchday 27 of the Premier League) on 23/02/2014. The initiative has been repeated once per season since 2008-09 with the Norwich City club.

Railway Children is a child welfare association that fights against runaways. A child runs away from home every five minutes in the UK, says the organization. Aviva will give one pound (€1.21) for each tweet or retweet containing #Take5 from 22 to 23/02/2014. The insurance company will give a maximum of £100,000 (€121,000), a pound for each child that runs away each year in the UK alone according to the statistics of the association.

Aviva will also allow Railway Children to show messages on the LED advertising boards around the stadium during the match. The official "Canary" (nickname of Norwich players) shirts will also be auctioned to benefit the association.
