eSports: AOK (health insurance) becomes main shirt sponsor of the Hertha BSC eSport Academy

The health insurance fund AOK has extended its partnership with Hertha BSC (Bundesliga), and has become the main shirt sponsor of the Hertha BSC eSport Academy, on 03/07/2019. The agreement was negotiated by the club's marketing agency Lagardère Sports.

"The partnership will be complemented by a variety of digital rights and, in collaboration with the club, a platform called Mach' dich Hertha! (Go Hertha!) will be created, which will provide exclusive content and information for fans and members. The new agreement also provides for the creation of a new position at Hertha BSC for reporting on fitness, health, nutrition and eSports," explained the club.

AOK became the main shirt sponsor of Hertha' youth teams (U9 to U19) and extended as the club's exclusive health partner on 16/09/2016. AOK, a partner of the club since the 2012-13 season, and Hertha BSC are also implementing initiatives to raise awareness of health issues among young people.
