Bundesliga: Borussia Dortmund presents a project to expand its training centre (€20m)

Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga) has presented a project to expand its training centre in the Brackel district of Dortmund (North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany) for a total cost of €20m, on 30/06/2019.

"The training complex and youth performance centre (abbr. NLZ), located in Hohenbuschei, will be expanded in stages from now until 2021. In addition, the 'Sports Business Office' will be entirely rebuilt from scratch. The Brackel neighbourhood will then truly be at the heart of all things Black & Yellow. The planned construction, will make BVB the best-equipped football club in the country with regards to infrastructure," said the German club.

The work on the training centre includes the renovation of the building that houses the professional team, the extension of the U23 team building, as well as the construction of an indoor space that will contain an artificial grass pitch (64x45 metres).

According to the club the "Sports Business Office", located just next to the renovated training centre, will consist of three levels; with a press conference room and interview rooms on the ground…
