Adidas extends with UEFA for Euro 2016 and World Cup 2018 qualifiers

Adidas extended its partnership with UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) for Euro 2016 and the 2018 World Cup qualifiers on 21/02/2014. The agreement will begin during the 2014-2017 period.

Adidas will provide the ball for Euro 2016 qualification matches. The German supplier will be an official partner of the tournament, which will be held in France from 10/06 to 10/07/2016. Adidas will also provide the ball for the playoffs in Europe for the XXI World Cup to be held in Russia in 2018.

This package of commercial rights gives the various sponsors of UEFA better exposure, especially with the introduction of "week of football." The qualification matches will be spread over six days, from Thursday to Tuesday, offering greater television visibility.
