Budweiser launches advertising campaign "Rise As One" for the 2014 World Cup

The American beer brand Budweiser, official partner of FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association), launched an advertising campaign titled "Rise as One" for the 2014 World Cup on 20/02/2014.

The campaign will be rolled out via TV commercials, billboards and print media campaigns. The commercial will be broadcast in the UK from 05/03/2014. Budweiser launched riseasone.com, a social media platform to provide content and interactions for fans. A mobile application will soon allow users to locate the nearest bar showing World Cup matches live and serving Budweiser beer.

The brand will also market a limited edition "2014 World Cup" beer bottle and will organize a contest where participants can win tickets to matches.

  • Budweiser announced the cancellation of its sponsorship for the FA Cup trophy (ENG) at the end of 2013-14 on 07/02/2014.
  • The American brand wants to focus on its partnership with FIFA for the 2014 World Cup (Brazil, 12/06 to 13/07/2014),  and the 2018 (Russia) and 2022 (Qatar) editions.
