Premier League: Konami (video games) replaces EA Sports as a global partner of Manchester United FC

The Japanese video game publisher Konami has become a global partner of Manchester United FC (Premier League), according to the English club on 02/07/2019. Konami replaces the American video game publisher EA Sports, which holds the licence for the "FIFA" football games. EA Sports has been a partner of the club since 2016.

"Created using state-of-the-art technology, the (eFootball PES 2020) game boasts the most detailed recreation of the club's famous Old Trafford stadium (75,811 capacity) seen yet. The current squad have also been created using a full-body 3D scanning process, providing players of the game with ultra-realistic avatars of their favourite United stars. The game features a brand-new 'Matchday' mode that will allow fans to team up and play in weekly competition games, which correlate to real-world football matches," said Manchester United.
