Serie A TIM: +20 million fans for Juventus on social networks in 2018-19 (record in Top 5 leagues)

Juventus FC (Serie A TIM) has registered nearly 76 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/07/2019, 20 million more than on 01/08/2018 (56 million fans before the 2018-19 season, therefore growth of +36.3%). No club has progressed as much in the European Top 5 leagues in the 2018-19 season.

On the European podium the Italian champions are ahead of two LaLiga Santander clubs: FC Barcelona (+17.6 million) and Real Madrid CF (+16.4 million). The growth of Juve's digital community is mainly focused on Instagram, a social network on which the Turin club earned nearly 15 million new followers. The arrival of Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo in July 2018 largely explains this record progression for the 2018-19 season.

At the national level, Juventus is the most followed club in Italy, ahead of AC Milan, which has nearly 38 million followers (+4.5% compared to 01/08/2019), and FC Internazionale Milano which recorded 19.5 million (+39.2%).
