LaLiga: call for tenders for 2019-2022 TV rights in the United Kingdom and Ireland

LaLiga has launched a call for tenders for the LaLiga Santander broadcasting rights in the United Kingdom and Ireland for the 2019-2022 period, on 11/07/2019. Candidates have until 25/07/2019 to respond.

The sports OTT platform Eleven Sports had acquired these rights over the 2018-2021 period on 02/05/2018, before experiencing difficulties in the United Kingdom and Ireland regarding distribution agreements. From 25/02/2019, LaLiga Santander games were broadcast by three broadcasters, Eleven Sports, the pay-TV operator Premier Sports (four games per matchday) and the free-TV group ITV (one game per matchday).

This new call for tenders includes one lot for free-to-air (one game per matchday, second choice) and one lot for OTT.
