FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) provided support for "Queerpass Bayern", the club's gay and lesbian fan club, on Christopher Street Day, a day of celebration, commemoration and demonstration for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, held in Germany on Saturday, 13/07/2019.

The German club offered shirts and footballs to the 40 members of the group who took part in a march through the streets of Munich (Bavaria, GER). The club also provided its mascot Berni and lit the Allianz Arena (75,000 capacity) with the colours of the rainbow flag, a symbol of the LGBT community.

"Along with our 'Queerpass' fan club we want to continually make a stand for tolerance and diversity and against racism and homophobia. Football brings people together and, as an open-minded club, we want to make our own contribution," said Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, chairman of FC Bayern Munich's supervisory board.
