DAZN: STATS' parent company Vista Equity Partners acquires Perform Content to create "Stats Perform"

The American investment fund Vista Equity Partners, parent company of STATS, a company specialised in the capture and analysis of sports data, has finalised the acquisition (announced on 15/04/2019) of the British company Perform Content, specialised in the production of sports content and parent company of Opta (sports statistics provider), on 15/07/2019.

The takeover creates a new entity called "Stats Perform" which "will provide deeper, more robust data and insights essential to a growing portfolio of global partners," announced the American company, which also claims to "be the leading innovator in sports" with over "20 AI patents issued or submitted."

"DAZN Group, Perform's owner, will receive a combination of cash and a significant minority stake in the newly formed company," explained STATS and Perform, on 15/04/2019.
