Premier League: EA Sports succeeds Konami as partner of Liverpool FC from 2019-20

EA Sports, an American video game publisher, and developer of the "FIFA" football video games, has become a partner of Liverpool FC (Premier League) from 2019-20, as part of a multi-year agreement, according to the club on 16/07/2019.

EA Sports has the status of official partner, the third level in the sponsorship hierarchy of the 2018-19 Champions League winners. "The partnership will see LFC and EA Sports working together to create content that is specific for the club for fans to enjoy globally across the club's social channels," said the club.

EA Sports succeeds the Japanese video game publisher Konami, Liverpool FC's official partner for the 2016-2019 cycle. Konami became a partner of three European clubs from 2019-20 (plus two extensions, see below).

Elsewhere, MG Motor (car manufacturer, see below), extended their partnership with Liverpool to become the official global car partner of Liverpool FC on 15/07/2019, while two official partners have not renewed their agreement with Liverpool FC after 2018-19, namely Malaysia Airlines (airline, 2016-2019) and Alcatel…
