Netherlands: Warrior will equip NEC Nijmegen from 2014-15

The American brand Warrior will become the official kit and equipment supplier of NEC Nijmegen (Netherlands, Eredivisie) from 01/07/2014, the club announced on 24/02/2014.

Warrior replaces the German brand Jako. Nijmegen is the first Dutch professional sports club to be equipped by Warrior. The club is currently in 17^th (relegation playoff place) out of 18 places after 25 Matchdays of the Eredivisie.

Nijmegen is the fifth European club with the American brand after Liverpool FC (Barclays Premier League), Sevilla (Liga BBVA), Randers FC (Denmark) and Shamrock Rovers FC (Ireland).

• Warrior, whose European headquarters is in Manchester (England), is in negotiations with Manchester United to replace Nike from 2015-16, announced the British newspapers The Times and The Guardian on 29/01/2014.
• The contract between Warrior and Liverpool (Premier League) provides €29.8m of per year to the club until 2017-18.
• Warrior and the French company Sport Finance, who distributes the brands Kappa and Sergio Tacchini in France, announced a distribution agreement on 15/04/2013 for the French market…
