Liga NOS: SL Benfica partners with the San Francisco 49ers NFL franchise

"Sport Lisboa e Benfica and the San Francisco 49ers signed, on Tuesday (16/07/2019), at the museum located at Levi's Stadium, a partnership aimed at the exchange of technical, technological and business knowledge," announced the Lisbon club (POR) on 17/07/2019.

"Today is a memorable day. Benfica and the 49ers strengthen relationships through a partnership that will cover several areas ranging from historical heritage to innovation. Both emblems share greatness based on a rich history of sporting achievements. Both clubs have a common demand, professionalism and a continuous search for innovation," said Luisão, former Brazilian international defender for SL Benfica, ambassador of the club and present in California with the first team which is about to play there the first of its three International Champions Cup matches in the USA (versus CD Guadalajara, MEX) on 20/07/2019.

The Portuguese club also took the opportunity to announce that the San Francisco 49ers are the first American sports franchise to join the International Sports Museums Association (ISMA). ISMA is an…
