FC Barcelona: club posts a record turnover of nearly €1bn (€990m) in 2018-19

"The FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) board of directors has approved the closure of the accounts for the 2018-19 season. The final results of this financial year represent record revenues in the history of the club with €990m (+7.6% compared to 2017-18), and expenses amounting to €973m," announced FC Barcelona on 24/07/2019.

FC Barcelona's revenues in 2018-19 were 3% higher than the estimated budget presented on 27/09/2018 (€960m). EBITDA reached €192m (compared to €177m in 2017-18), while operating profit amounted to €17m (compared to €32m in 2017-18) and net profit after tax was €4.5m (compared to €13m the year before). This is the eighth consecutive season in which Barça have made a profit.

"The board of directors has a positive assessment of the figures for this financial year, which are perfectly in line with the club's strategic plan objective of reaching €1bn in turnover by 2021. As is the tradition, the club will present the details of its accounts, as well as the new provisional budget, before its next general assembly," said Barcelona FC.
