Bjorn Vassallo has been elected for a four-year term as the new Malta Football Association (MFA) president at the association's annual general meeting in Floriana (on 20/07/2019)," said UEFA on 22/07/2019.

Vassallo obtained 83 votes out of a total of 137 votes (60.6%), while fellow candidate Chris Bonett, received 54 votes.
