Club World Cup: the 2019 edition will take place in Qatar from 11/12 to 21/12/2019

The Club World Cup in Qatar 2019 will take place from Wednesday 11/12 to Saturday 21/12/2019, according to FIFA, which stated that these dates had been confirmed by the Bureau of the FIFA Council on 25/07/2019.

"The FIFA Council decided to award Qatar the right to host the next two editions of the tournament in its existing format in 2019 and 2020. The upcoming editions of the seven-team competition will serve as valuable test events in the build-up to the FIFA World Cup 2022, even more so since their timing - usually around early December - corresponds with that of the next FIFA World Cup (from 21/11 to 18/12/2022), allowing for testing under similar climatic conditions," announced the international Federation on 03/06/2019.

The competition, in which seven teams will compete, consists of eight matches. A draw to determine the fixtures for the second round and semi-finals (see below) will be held at the FIFA headquarters in Zurich (SUI) on 16/09/2019.
