Borussia Dortmund: 500 season ticket holders absent in 2018-19 prevented from renewing in 2019-20

Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga) is preventing 500 season ticket holders who attended less than 10 of the 17 league matches of the 2018-19 season at the Signal Iduna Park (81,365 seats) from renewing their season tickets for 2019-20, according to the German club on 11/07/2019.

"The reason is simply to ensure the continuation of the unique atmosphere in our stadium, the most beautiful in the world. BVB always want to have their stadium sold-out and season ticket holders who are there to support their team at every game - rather than just selected matches," said Borussia Dortmund.

The 500 of the 2019-20 season tickets have been made available (207 seated, 293 standing) are available to the 500 people who have been on the club's waiting list for the longest time, out of a total of around 50,000 fans. The German club had 55,500 season ticket holders in 2018-19, the most of any club in the Bundesliga.
