"The Assembly of the Lega Serie A, unanimously, intends to retain its right to address the operators in the market for the transfer of audiovisual rights for the period of three years 2021-2024, and positively considers the possibility of creating a channel of the League (in accordance with Article 13 of the Melandri Law) and decides to give a mandate to the President (Gaetano Miccichè) and CEO (Luigi De Siervo) in order to negotiate and define a contractual agreement with Mediapro by, at the latest, 30/09/2019, on the basis of the economic offer of the Mediapro proposal of 26/07/2019," announced the Italian League on 29/07/2019.

The Chinese-Spanish audiovisual group Mediapro reportedly proposed €1.15bn per season (plus €55m in copyright fees and €78m in production fees) to the Lega Serie A over the 2021-2024 cycle to produce and distribute a dedicated channel of the Serie A TIM, according to Italian media on 30/07/2019.
