Asia: Frenchman Alain Perrin appointed manager of China

Alain Perrin was appointed manager of China on 26/02/2014. He replaces the Spaniard Jose Antonio Camacho, dismissed in May 2013. The French trainer has been a free agent since the end of his contract with Umm Salal-SC (Qatar) on 30/09/2013. His primary objective is to select the Chinese team (absent from the 2014 World Cup in Brazil) for the Asian Cup 2015, which will be held in Australia.

China is the first national team that Alain Perrin will coach. The Frenchman has led the Qatar U23 team from 01/06 to 19/12/2012. Alain Perrin won the Ligue 1 (FRA) championship with Olympique Lyonnais in 2008, as well as the Coupe de France with FC Sochaux in 2007, then again with Olympique Lyonnais in 2008.
