2019-20 Ligue 1: 5/20 clubs (Nice, Lyon, Marseile, Bordeaux, Amiens) have a stadium naming contract

Five of the 20 clubs participating in the 2019-20 Ligue 1 Conforama season have a stadium under a naming contract (25%).

These five clubs, which are the only ones to play in stadiums that are under a naming rights agreement, are: OGC Nice (Allianz Riviera), Olympique Lyonnais (Groupama Stadium), FC Girondins de Bordeaux (Matmut Atlantique), Olympique de Marseille (Orange Vélodrome) and Amiens SC (Stade Crédit Agricole La Licorne).

The average stadium naming rights contract in Ligue 1 stadium amounts to €3.37m. For Olympique Lyonnais, Groupama are expected to pay between €5m and €7m for an initial and renewable period of three seasons (2017-2020). In Marseille and Bordeaux, contracts with the insurance company Matmut and the telecommunications group Orange run for ten years for an amount of nearly €3m annually. OGC Nice was the first Ligue 1 club to award its stadium naming rights (agreement on 23/07/2012), via a nine-year contract and an annual amount of €1.8m, to the insurance company Allianz.
