Portugal: Football Federation launches its channel, broadcast by 3 of 4 operators in the country

The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) has launched its channel "Canal 11" in Portugal on 01/08/2019 at 11 hours and 11 minutes. The channel is available on channel 11 of the telecommunications operators MEO (Altice Group Europe), NOS and Vodafone, as well as on the internet (https://canal11.pt/).

This is the first time that a football federation has a linear channel that broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The channel will be dedicated to football as a whole and will broadcast notably women's football but also futsal and beach football (more than 600 live games). Talk shows, analysis programmes, debates and interviews with sports personalities will also be broadcast.

The FPF has invested €1m into this project, according to local media.
