Liga: Qatar Airways unveils Boeing 777 in the colours of FC Barcelona

The Qatar Airways airline, a major partner of FC Barcelona (Liga BBVA), unveiled a Boeing 777 in the club's colours on 25/02/2014.

The aircraft was announced at the launch of the partnership between the club and Qatar Airways in July 2013. The design reveals the Barça flag on the fuselage of the Boeing 777. The design was created in Dublin (IRL), where a team worked for a week to hand-paint the trimmings of the aircraft. The airplane, in the club's colours, will fly to a number of destinations in the network of the airline, including North America, Europe and Asia.

Qatar Airways has been the shirt sponsor of FC Barcelona since July 2013. The company contributed €30.5m in 2013-14 and €32m in 2014-15 and will contribute €33.5m in 2015-16.

• Over the next three seasons, the contract between FC Barcelona and Qatar Airways has an additional option of €5m if the team wins the Champions League.
