Handball: Lidl (supermarket retail) becomes official sponsor of the EHF Euro 2020

Lidl, a German supermarket retail chain, has become the official sponsor of the EHF Euro Handball 2020, announced the European Handball Federation (EHF) on 05/08/2019. The deal was negotiated by Infront, the body's exclusive marketing agency. Lidl was already an official sponsor of the EHF Euro Handball 2018 (men's competition, Croatia).

"As exclusive Official Fresh Food Partner of the event, Lidl will show one of its core competencies by supporting the event with qualitative fresh food and water for players, representatives, referees and volunteers. Objective is to raise awareness about the importance of exercise and health-conscious nutrition," stated the EHF in a press release.

Lidl will have visibility throughout the arenas in Austria, Sweden and Norway, as well as on the courts (stickers) and on the communication media of the tournament.
