UEFA Super Cup: Liverpool - Chelsea 8^th edition between clubs of the same country on 14/08/2019

Liverpool FC (Premier League) - Chelsea FC (Premier League) - the 2019 UEFA Super Cup, is the eighth edition of this season kick-off meeting between the winners of two European cups that will be contested between two teams from the same country, at Besiktas Park in Istanbul (TUR), on Wednesday 14/08/2019 (kick-off at 22:00 local time, 21:00 CET). But, for the first time, it is two English clubs in this Super Cup.

"UEFA is breaking new ground by appointing Stéphanie Frappart (FRA) to referee the UEFA Super Cup on 14/08/2019. This will be the first time that a female official takes charge of a major UEFA men's competition event," indicated UEFA on 02/08/2019.

• The UEFA Super Cup took place in Prague (2013), Cardiff (2014), Tbilisi (2015), Trondheim (2016), and Skopje (2017) since the relocation of this match from its former home, the Stade Louis II in Monaco .
