Mabel Green Cup: a friendly match with AS Roma - Real Madrid to promote sustainable development

AS Roma (Serie A TIM) and Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) faced each other in the first edition of the Mabel Green Cup (The Italian club won 2-2, 5-4 on penalties), a friendly game organized by the Spanish investment fund Mabel Capital, at the Stadio Olimpico (72,698 capacity) in Rome (ITA) on 11/08/2019.

"Organised by Mabel Sports, the aim of the exhibition match is to raise awareness and promote interest in sustainability, and the protection and longevity of the planet. As part of the event, proceeds will go towards causes that focus on this cause - the protection of the planet," stated AS Roma in a press release.

"It is an honour to have the confidence of the best club in the world, Real Madrid, to be a pioneer once again through this type of action and it is also an enormous privilege that a legendary club like AS Roma has accepted to participate in this first edition," said Manuel Campos Guallar, co-owner and chief executive of Mabel Capital.
