"Continuing a frank and good faith negotiation to reach an immediate agreement regarding the extension of the official competition day beyond Saturdays and Sundays", this is the proposal sent by mail to all the leaders of the clubs of LaLiga Santander and LaLiga SmartBank by Luis Rubiales, president of the Spanish Football Federation on 12/08/2019.

The Commercial Court No. 2 of Madrid has authorized LaLiga Santander and LaLiga SmartBank matches on Fridays, but maintains the ban on Mondays, in its ruling issued on 09/08/2019, in exchange for the payment of 15 million euros by LaLiga to RFEF. The Spanish League announced that it would appeal immediately.

The Spanish Federation would be willing to accept matches played on weekdays in exchange for 30 million euros (or 10% of the sums collected by LaLiga for games played on Fridays and Mondays).

The LaLiga 2019-20 calendars originally scheduled matches on Fridays and Mondays, while the Federation demanded that all matches of the top two Spanish divisions be played on Saturdays and Sundays.
