Bundesliga / LaLiga Santander: Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona begin league season on 16/08/2019

FC Bayern Munich - Hertha BSC at the Allianz Arena (75,000 capacity) in Munich (GER) and Athletic Club - FC Barcelona at the San Mamés (53,289 capacity) in Bilbao (ESP) are the opening matches of the Bundesliga and LaLiga Santander, respectively, for the 2019-20 season, both scheduled on Friday 16/08/2019, the first with kick-off at 20:30 CET, the second starting at 21:00.

Bayern Munich are not only reigning German champions, they have won the last seven editions of the Bundesliga (from 2012-13 to 2018-19) and 14 of the last 20.

FC Barcelona are not only reigning Spanish champions, they have won the last two editions (2017-18 and 2018-19), 10 of the last 20 and have always ranked first or second in 11 seasons (eight times first, three times second).
