LaLiga Santander: Winamax (betting) becomes the main shirt sponsor of Grenada CF for 2019-20

Winamax, a French sports betting operator, has become a partner and main shirt sponsor of Granada CF for 2019-20, according to the club that has been promoted to LaLiga Santander for the 2019-20 season, on 15/08/2019.

Winamax has the status of main partner, the first level in the Spanish club's sponsorship hierarchy. Winamax is expected to pay between €1.5m and €2m to Grenada CF in 2019-20, according to Spanish media on 15/08/2019.

The club did not have a main partner in 2018-19, following the withdrawal of its main partner King Energy (energy drink), the club's shirt sponsor in 2016-17 and 2017-18. Initially scheduled to run until the end of 2018-19, the agreement with the Chinese brand was terminated early due to non-payment. King Energy was to contribute €500,000 annually to Grenada CF.
