Serie A TIM: Cagliari Calcio forms a training partnership with the Chinese city of Xiapu (Fujian)

Cagliari Calcio is forging a partnership based on the training of players and coaches with the Chinese city of Xiapu (Fujian province), according to the Italian club, on 14/08/2019. The agreement covers the 2019-20 season only.

"The agreement signed for the 2019-20 season, strongly backed by president Tommaso Giulini with the aim of implementing the activated projects (upon the club's arrival in China from 10 to 14/08/2019) and drawing on Cagliari experience in a context that is as positive as it is different in terms of culture and approach, will see ongoing training for the Xiapu technicians, who will be able to work closely with colleagues from Cagliari Calcio Fabrizio Ruzzu, Fabio Pisanu and Matteo Pianu, whom will remain in China for the next twenty days. The agreement also includes the arrival in Sardinia of the best Chinese young talents selected on the territory, together with coaches and representatives of the institutions," explained the Sardinian club, which organised its first training sessions in the main school of Xiapu, which has more than 3,000 students.
